Contingent leaders should consider planning extra activities while traveling to or from the Shasta-Trinity AC5 project. Some ideas include white water rafting near Mt. Shasta, visiting Sacramento (California's Capital) or San Francisco, driving along the coast Route 101 / Route 1 or even renting a boat for skiing on Shasta Lake or Lake Tahoe. Also, if driving, it may be possible to bring your bikes to do some riding. Remember it is important to maintain a schedule that allows you to arrive at the project on time.
NOTE: Much like a National Jamboree or NOAC, the Contingent leader is responsible for filing all necessary paperwork including Tour Permits and other permission forms. Contingent leader is also responsible for planning, payment, liability, and supervision of any chosen activities.
